Prior to founding the Rockwell Global Legal Asset Fund, Gavin built an extensive career as a seasoned private markets investor across multiple asset classes, sectors and geographies.
Gavin began his career in 2005 as an investment banking analyst in Lazard’s M&A group advising on a wide range of buy and sell-side M&A transactions.
In 2007, Gavin joined Cargill’s investment management subsidiary, Black River Asset Management (AUM US$14bn) tos support a new private markets investment strategy. In 2013, Gavin relocated to Sydney to establish and lead Black River’s Australian office, where he co-managed a A$1bn+ private equity investment portfolio.
In 2020, Gavin joined Mubadala Investment Company (AUM US$300bn), one of the world’s leading sovereign wealth funds based in Abu Dhabi. Gavin co-led the formation and development of a global private equity investment strategy across the Industrials & Business Services sectors.
During his tenure at Mubadala, Gavin’s team made investments totalling >$2.5bn in LP commitments and co-investments across the US, Europe and APAC, deploying capital into high performing managers and high growth co-investment opportunities.
Leveraging his track record of building investment platforms, deploying institutional capital, and aligning with top-tier partners globally, Gavin founded the Rockwell Global Legal Asset Fund to capitalize on the growing demand for litigation finance and legal assets as a distinct and uncorrelated investment class.

Gavin graduated from Marquette University with a double major in Finance and Economics
Adam is a highly regarded entrepreneurial lawyer, investment banker, director of ASX companies and a principal investor with a focus on innovation within the fincial services sector.
He founded his private family office Rockwell Group in 2008.
His foundation skill sets where honed at Mallesons, Freehills, K&L Gates and Schroders where he built an extensive career on the local and global stage.
His success in private investments in financial services include minority ownership and focused growth of FMD Financial Pty Ld (which has grown from A$260m FUA when he initially invested to over A$2.5 Billion).
Of note he acquired Flinders Trustees Limited from a group of investors with A$400m in FUM) and exited the business to Australian Unity - renamed to Australian Unity Trustees for an 8.5 x MOM return.
In 2008, Adam founded and exited (and subseqpunaty repurchased at a substantial discount) the highly regarded private equity focused law firm Rockwell Bates. During and after that period he engaged with many Private Equity firms as a lead co-investor (PEP, Advent Private Capital, Ademantum, Liverpool Partners) Fund Managers ( Karara Capital, Tannarra ) UHNWI ( with global investment profiles) in a range of financial service related transactions.
His private investments in financial services, since exited have included SMSF Self Directed investment & Education platform Australian Stock Report Ltd, The SMSF Report Pty Ltd , charity and superannuation top up payments platform ImpactPay and Milton2.0.
Uniquely, in his law firm experience he has used Litigation Finance which has given him a strong working knowledge of the sector, its benefits, diligence processes, structure and returns.
His combination of driving excess upside returns for investors in financial service businesses together with hands on litigation finance experience provides investors in RGLF3 with a unique combination of experience as they enter the litigation finance investment sector .
Adam graduated with an LL.B (Hon) and B.Ec (Acc) from Monash University
